Images of Mrs. Hawayo Takata

These 5 images were scanned and edited by David M. Pierce, from photographs from the collection of Exie Lockett and are used here with her permission. The photographs were taken during Mrs. Takata's initiations of three groups of First Degree Reiki practitioners, in Sunnyvale, California, USA, December, 1974. The viewer may find it interesting to compare the robe that Mrs. Takata is wearing in some of the images, with the robe she is wearing in the now famous black-and-white image of her.
