Pat Cougar, R.N., Reiki Master: Schedule of Classes

Pat Cougar offers courses and initiation to Reiki levels 1 and 2, and offers a one-year Master level internship program. First and Second degree Reiki classes are conducted in Chico, California. She is also open to traveling to other communities to teach Reiki. You will receive the Reiki attunements, a workbook, instructions, practice sessions and a vegetarian lunch.

Course Descriptions:

First Degree: This two-day course enables the practitioner to channel greater quantities of Life Force Energy, which balances and promotes healing for one's self, other people, plants, and animals.

The first day of class consists of seven hours of instruction and practice. Following the "attunement" ceremony to access energy, the student is able to conduct Reiki sessions on themselves and others. The student is given an assignment of Reiki sessions and journal writing.

The First Degree follow-up class is conducted approximately twenty-one days later and consists of three and one-half hours of instruction and practice.  The student reviews the previous assignment, learns principles of combining Reiki with other healing methods, and receives a First Degree Reiki certificate.

Course Fee: $150.00 US

Prerequisites: None

Next Class Dates: Saturday, May 17, 2008

Second Degree: This two-day course allows the practitioner access to higher energy vibrational rates for absentee healing across time and space. Second Degree Reiki promotes increased intuitive awareness in the practitioner. The three symbols of the Usui System of Reiki are taught. The student must have completed and practiced First Degree Reiki for a minimum of three months prior to being admitted to this course.

The first day of class consists of six hours of instruction and practice, including the "attunement" ceremony, which allows access to a greater amount of energy. The student is given an assignment of journal writing and Reiki practice, including absentee or remote sessions.

The Second Degree follow-up class is conducted approximately 21 days later and consists of 2 1/2 hours of instruction and practice. The student receives a Second Degree Reiki certificate.

Course Fee: $300.00 US

Prerequisites: The student must have completed and practiced First Degree Reiki for a minimum of three months prior to being admitted to this course.

Next Class Date: Sunday, May 18, 2008

Third Degree: This is the Master level for teaching and practicing Reiki as one's vocation and involves a one-year apprenticeship. Following the Master Degree "attunement" ceremony, the student is given a master symbol, which is used in initiating students into the Usui System of Reiki. The student also has access to higher energy vibrational rates than in Second Degree Reiki.

The year apprenticeship is initiated with the student submitting a letter of intention and is followed by the drafting of a contract. This contract includes items addressing meetings with the teacher, journal writing, attendance at Reiki practitioner support groups, weekly Reiki sessions, a Reiki community project, teaching first and second degree Reiki classes, and schedule of payment for Master level training.
