Timeless (in Waltz-Time)
(Verse 1)
Oh how I love the way that playful light I see
Dancing behind your eyes looks at me.
It's moments like these that maybe I do believe
Baby we are forever.
(Refrain)
So let it shine, shine, older than time
And younger than all of tomorrow.
Let it shine, shine, eternal, divine.
Let it shine. Let it shine. Let it shine.
(Verse 2)
There's something here looking out through my eyes.
Does it even care, does it even realize?
These windows are older than four times forteen.
How many more nights will I dance like I was just sixteen?
Maybe nevermore. Maybe now and ever.
(Refrain)
So let it shine, shine, older than time
And younger than all my tomorrows.
Let it shine, shine, like eternal springtime.
Let it shine. Let it shine. Let it shine.
(Bridge)
And when light finally fades from our eyes,
Maybe just like sparks from a desert campfire we'll rise,
Or soar like eagles on a wind that is so wild and free.
Or maybe I'll just look at you and you'll look back at me.
(Refrain)
And we'll shine, shine, older than time
And younger than all our tomorrows.
Let it shine, shine, eternal, divine.
Let it shine. Let it shine. Let it shine.
Oh how I love the way that playful light I see, looks at me.
(Instrumental refrain)
